Tasks, Expeditions and Encounters

Encounters

• Encounters* are random events that have a chance of occurring if you create a thread in any board that doesn't have a safe status. These encounters can range from harmless, one-off post events to dangerous, combat-fueled encounters. Encounters can be avoided by purchasing a Guardian Angel from the site shop.

Tasks

Tasks are member-created event threads that give rewards based on performance. These tasks are normally low stakes, but may cause character injury depending on the risk level. For more information and to find a list of available tasks, visit the Scratching Post.

Expeditions

Expeditions are admin-created event threads that forward the site plot and develop the world. Expeditions are often longer than most threads and can occasionally become two or more threads depending on complexity. These threads are more dangerous than tasks and carries a risk of character death. Currently, expeditions are the only in-character way of earning Oath.
