  A senior RiverClan warrior who mentored Sunsnake. Dry and snarky, strict and exacting.

• Lampreypelt - deceased (moon -14)
  Former mentor of Hawkthorn. Died suddenly of illness one night while Hawkpaw watched.
• Shrikestar - deceased (moon -115)
  Former co-leader of ShadowClan (with Chickadeestar), founding leader of RiverClan.
• Skuastar - deceased (moon -2)
  A large dark gray she-cat with green eyes. Leader of RiverClan after Dovestar and before Blackbirdstar.

  A Terminal Fox warrior who mentored Flourfoot. Skilled in tactical thinking.
• Flickerfang - adoptable
  A warrior in Warren Bear. Brother to Doveheart, uncle to Flourfoot, Rulertail, Henclaw, and Pigeonheart. Boisterous and tenacious.
• Henclaw - adoptable
  A young warrior in Warren Bear. Daughter of Saltstone and Doveheart, sister to Flourfoot, Rulertail, and Pigeonheart. Sharp and defiant.
• Muffinmask - alive
  Rustclaw's second apprentice.
• Poinsettiapelt - alive
  A lifelong Burrow Rat warrior. Father of Wireheart, Rustclaw, and Bella.
• Saltstone - adoptable
  A warrior in Terminal Fox. Mate to Doveheart, mother of Flourfoot, Rulertail, Henclaw, and Pigeonheart. Skilled in diplomacy.
• Yarnwhisker - alive
  Rustclaw's first apprentice. His sister was Needlepaw.

  Burrow Rat warrior who mentored Rustclaw. A traditionalist.
• Needlepaw - deceased (moon -24)
  Wireheart's first apprentice. Killed by a train. Her brother was Yarnwhisker.
• Popcorntail - deceased (moon 0)
  A Burrow Rat warrior who mentored Pigeonheart. Killed in the earthquake that isolated Burrow Rat.

  An ex-WindClan kittypet, formerly named Bellsong. Sister of Rustclaw and Wireheart. Left due to her brothers' falling-out.
• Croc - alive
  A junkyard cat, WindClan informant, and father of Bootpaw, Lacepaw, and Slipperpaw. Declined to join WindClan when the kits were born.

Deceased

• Ruslan - deceased (moon -56)
  A dark red ticked tabby tom. Father of Sasha and former leader of what is now Sasha's Gang. Killed in a WindClan raid.
