In the post-apocalyptic world of Beyond the Pale, kits may be born with extreme and supernatural variations in ability or appearance. Some cats have also acquired unusual mutations later in life.
Two types of supernatural mutations are currently in play: congenital mutations and cosmetic mutations.
Congenital Mutations
Congenital mutations are present from birth and may have significant impacts on gameplay. At the moment, they are only present in cats born from on-site litters following the volcanic eruption.
Cosmetic Mutations
Cosmetic mutations may be acquired through the use of Beetlefox's Fashionable Boutique, a seasonal item sometimes available in Beetlefox's Shop. Cosmetic mutations have no impact on gameplay and cannot be inherited. They can be removed with the use of Beetlefox's Magic Eraser.
